Contributors to The New Abolitionists blog are all members of the New Jersey Coalition Against Human Trafficking (NJCAHT).
Formed in 2011, the NJCAHT is made up of over 170 diverse groups statewide united in their aim to abolish modern slavery. These groups include nonprofits, faith-based organizations, government agencies, academics, law enforcement, and direct service providers.
The Coalition works to serve as the hub of community efforts across the state to increase coordination and visibility in the commitment to end human trafficking. It is entirely volunteer-run with members serving in committees targetting legislation, healthcare, arts, education, and slave-free commerce.
